What we do
Emmaus South Lambeth provides a home and meaningful work for homeless people in order to provide a sense of purpose and belonging among all our companions. Below is a short film about two of our companions, and their experiences. It led to us getting a grant to help carry on our work with homeless people.
Emmaus South Lambeth offers homeless people a home, companionship, and the chance to rebuild their lives in a supportive environment.
We have a
vibrant community of "Companions", who are referred to us from homeless
daycentres, statutory services, other homeless charities and outreach workers. Our companions are the backbone of our
community. They live together in a purpose built residency, ajoining the
warehouse and shops.
