Making a donation to our charity

We run 4 Charity Shops adjacent to our community. Our charity depends on the success of our social enterrprises and we rely on supporters donating good quality furniture, electrical items, bric-a-brac, books and pictures, which we then resell in our goal to become financially self-sustaining.

Please contact us at 0208 761 4276 if you have items of furniture you wish to donate. Our friendly team will arrange to have it pick up at your address at a time that is convenient to you.

Alternatively please email us at esldonations@btconnect.com  from Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm

We are now accepting donations of good quality, second-hand household goods:

  • Furniture (beds, sofas, wardrobes, etc)
  • Fridges, washing machines & Small electrical items
  • China and glassware
  • Books, CDs and DVDs & Bric-a Brac
  • Clothes
  • Musical instruments

From time to time, we may have to refuse donations of particular types of goods depending on stock levels and storage space. Please call the Community on 0208 761 4276 for the current situation.

All items will need to be in good condition and ready for resale. If you are in any doubt about what condition goods need to be in then ask yourself the question “Would I buy it in this condition?” All soft furnishings must have the non-flammable label on them as it is illegal for us to sell them otherwise. Dining-room suites, wardrobes, dressing tables, beds and so on are all acceptable.

We would be delighted if you could drop items off to the Community personally. For larger items please arrange a date for our van collection and delivery service – a 15 mile radius from Norwood currently applies.
